Qatar Airways has grown significantly in the last few years; thanks to your continued support. New destinations are being added regularly to our rapidly expanding network to offer our discerning passengers more choice.
In order to keep pace with Qatar Airways' expansion, Privilege Club programme will undergo a few important changes to make it more relevant to our members.
We are delighted to share with you these programme enhancements that will come into effect from 1st November 2012:
• With the expansion of Qatar Airways’ global network which now serves 118 destinations, Privilege Club regions will be expanded from 8 to 13 Regions. Qpoints and redemption charts are defined per region so these will change accordingly.
• Qpoints are awarded to achieve membership status. Currently, you earn Qpoints based on the cabin you travel in and the regions you are travelling to or from. In order to reward you more fairly, you will start earning Qpoints based on the booking class (type of fare) that you purchase. This means, the higher the booking class, the more Qpoints you will earn and thus faster the tier upgrade
• Qmiles are the reward miles earned when you and /or your nominated family members travel on Qatar Airways, our airline partners and when using the services of our partners. When travelling on Qatar Airways, Qmiles will continue to be earned based on the booking class purchased; however, few modifications have been made to the earning levels to align with the fares that we charge and our service offering
• Redeeming Qmiles:
Based on the new Privilege Club regions, award levels for award tickets, upgrades, Qmiles plus Cash and Excess Baggage will also change accordingly.
• Introducing Flexi Awards! Flexi Awards makes it possible to avail an award seat on Qatar Airways during high demand periods in exchange for double Qmiles, when you make an award booking online.
With our recently launched Easy Deals (monthly discount deals on redemptions), Regular Awards, and now Flexi Awards, you will have more flexibility to redeem your Qmiles on Qatar Airways, whenever you wish.
