Die Fluggesellschaft verfügt bislang über eine Flotte von drei Airbus A320. Anfang Dezember 2022 fand der erste Flug vom internationalen Flughafen Kuala Lumpur nach Kuching, Kota Kinabalu und Langkawi statt.

In der Anfangsphase verzeichnete die Fluggesellschaft nach eigenen Angaben eine hohe Auslastung. Die Fluggesellschaft fliegt aktuell dreimal täglich von Kuala Lumpur nach Kuching und Kota Kinabalu. Auch Kota Bharu, Penang und Sibu wurden im Dezember bereits in das Streckennetz integriert. Kota Bharu und Sibu werden zweimal täglich angeflogen, während Penang zweimal täglich von KLIA2 angeflogen wird.

Anfang 2023 sollen mit Tawau und Miri weitere Ziele innerhalb Malaysias folgen. Die Flüge nach Tawau werden ab dem 21. Januar 2023 einmal täglich stattfinden, während die Flüge nach Miri am 1. März 2023 mit einem Flug pro Tag beginnen, ab dem 15. März 2023 wird die Frequenz auf zwei tägliche Flüge erhöht.

Ein weiterer inländische Ausbau des Flugnetzes ist bereits in Planung. Die internationale Expansion nach Singapur, Thailand, Indonesien und Vietnam soll dann bis März 2023 erfolgen.

On Tuesday, frequent traveller Wong Ching Yong demanded an explanation from MYAirline as well as the KLIA Terminal 2 control tower as to why the flight he boarded from Sibu to Kuala Lumpur had to abort its landing moments before touching down on the KLIA 2 runway.
Wong described the incident as a traumatic experience where many passengers on board were heard screaming.

Ich muss vorweg schicken, bis heute war ich mir um die Existenz der Airline nicht bewusst, aber was will ich auch in Tawau.

Ich sehe aber die Konkurrenz hier nicht mit AirAsia, da die Marktposition hier im Markt schon eher Premium Low Cost ist, mit kleingeschriebenen low, da die Preise inzwischen deutlich eher an die Legacy Airlines ranreichen, wenn man die normalen Optionen wir Gepaeck, Essen und Sitzplatz bucht.
Der direkte Wettbewerb wird mit BatikAir Malaysia (ex Malindo) ausgetragen. Auf deren Personal haben sie es wohl auch abgesehen, da Malindo zu Beginn der Pandemie gnadenlos alle rausgekegelt hat. Aber, BatikAir stellt seit ein paar Monaten wieder wie verrueckt ein und ich koennte mir vorstellen das der Markt fuer Kabinenpersonal bald leergefegt ist und dann wird das Wachstum deutlich langsamer vorangehen fuer MYAirline, da die anderen einfach schon deutlich mehr Fleisch auf den Rippen haben.

Allerdings hat man im letzten halben Jahr die Flotte nur um einen A320 von 6 auf 7 Jets im Dienst erweitert, weil ein A320 seit einigen Wochen stored ist...sonst wären es 8.

Heute startet der erste Flug von KUL nach BKK, am 1.7 von KUL nach DMK.
Die ersten Auslandsflüge von MyAir.

Was man halt sagen muss...die hohe Auslastung wird mit durchgehend billigen Tickets erkauft.

Nachfragen zur finanziellen Seite wird ausgewichen:

Goh Hwan Hu, along with his wife Neow Ean Lee, and son Goh Tze Han, were taken into custody on October 18 using provisions in Malaysia's Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing, and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act (2001). Authorities have remanded the trio for four days. MYAirline abruptly suspended all operations on October 12, citing financial problems.
