Boeing 777-300ER Widebody Aircraft Arriving Soon
As we continue to focus on delivering a world-class travel experience for our customers, we are excited to share the latest plans for the Boeing 777-300ER widebody aircraft, which are scheduled for delivery beginning in 2012. London is dedicated as the first market for this aircraft with more markets to be announced.
From new cabin interiors and updated amenities, to more inflight entertainment options and seat comfort in every cabin - the new aircraft will offer you a new, state-of-of-the-art travel experience.
More Features
The new aircraft will come equipped with a three-class configuration and will showcase a number of special features, including:
Fully lie flat First and Business Class seating with aisle access from every seat
Specially designed Economy Class seating offering a higher recline pivot and an articulating seat bottom that provides more knee room and more comfort
International Wi-Fi capability
110 volt AC power outlets and USB jacks available at every seat
Up to 120 movies, and over 150 TV programs and 350 audio selections to choose from
Unique mood lighting and a dramatic archway and ceiling treatment to create a feeling of spaciousness
Increased fuel efficiency
More Premium Class Enhancements
In addition, customers flying in First and Business Class will be among the first to experience new luxuries including:
First Class seats that transform into a fully lie flat six-foot, eight-inch bed with drop-down armrests that allow for easier access and more sleeping space
Business Class fully lie flat seats that allow customers to adjust any component of the seat, including the seat back, head rest, and leg rest
Aisle access at every First and Business Class seat
A walk-up bar stocked with snacks and refreshments available for premium class customers – a first for any U.S. carrier
Bose® QuietComfort® 15 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headsets for use inflight

More On Our Fleet Renewal Efforts
The new aircraft will also allow American to offer additional network flexibility in the near future and is in addition to American's other fleet orders and renewal efforts currently underway including:
10 Boeing 777-300ER widebody aircraft to be delivered in 2012 through 2013
Six 777-200 widebody aircraft scheduled for delivery in 2014 through 2016
42 state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliners expected to be delivered starting late 2014
