CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec 17, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- US Airways (NYSE:LCC) begins new, daily, nonstop service between its largest hub in Charlotte, North Carolina and Honolulu, Hawaii on the island of Oahu today, creating more travel options for the airline's customers on the East Coast. The year-round flight complements US Airways' daily nonstop service to Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island from its Phoenix hub. The flight will be operated with Boeing 767 aircraft with seating for 18 in First Class and 186 in the main cabin.

Mangels Rendite wurde diese Verbingung leider per 8. Sept. 2010 nach nur 9 Monaten wieder eingestellt. :( Schade!

Diese Verbindung war dank der eingesetzten B762 eine angenehme und willkommene Alternative, um mit US Airways von der Ostküste nach HNL zu fliegen. Nicht zuletzt deshalb, weil man garantiert den angled flat envoy seat hatte.
(Damit v.a. kein Vergleich zu den B752, welche z.B. ab SFO/PHX nach HNL eingesetzt werden... oft mit der alten kont. Bestuhlung - insbesondere beim red-eyes Rückflug eher ein bescheidenes Erlebnis..)

Wo nun wohl die dadurch frei gewordene 762 eingesetzt wird?!
