Gestern wurden laut eines Kollegen 4 Millionen Liter Enteisungsmittel verbraucht, wobei die Kapazität des Flughafens bei etwa 3,7 Millionen Litern liegt.
Heute waren etwas über 500 von ~1250 Flugbewegungen gestrichen, unter 10% der Flüge waren pünktlich. Teilweise sind wieder Gatepositionen ausgegangen, so dass die Lufthansa heute morgen im T2 abgefertigt hat.

Das glaube ich gerne. Ich war in LH 736, mithin der letzte Flug der überhaupt noch rausgegangen ist. Das Entseisen hat gefühlt ewig gedauert, sicherlich gute 20 Minuten.

Die FRAport möchte für morgen (27.01.) vorbereitet sein, wenn es wieder schneit/regnet.
Falls es aber wieder so kommt wie letzten Sonntag ist man aber glaube ich machtlos.

MET forecast is for light snow until 13:00 UTC with temperatures rising from -1 to +1. There will be little to no deposits of snow during this period.

EDDF TWR will be fully manned and do not anticipate any ATC capacity constraints.

Fraport will have full staffing and de-icing capacity and do not anticipate any requirement to regulate to accommodate demand. Peak departure load is 51/60 between 08:40 and 10:00 UTC. Average departure demand was stated to be closer to 35/60, so no regulation required.

Moderate snow is forecast to start falling between 11:00 and 12:00 UTC with accumulations up to 5 cm between 14:00 and 18:00; there is also a low risk of freezing rain between 13:00 and 19:00 UTC.
The snow accumulation will have an impact on operations with possible reductions in capacity to 30 or 35/60, timings are uncertain at this stage. The main concern is the inbound peak at 1400 (55/60).

It was felt unneccessary to apply regulations pretactically; it has been decided to wait for more up to date MET info and timings when they will be available. The decision will then be taken if necessary and by how much, to reduce arrival capacity in the afternoon.
