This one's weird because according to the September 8, 1997 timetable, there was no nonstop flight between MCO and FRA

However, I do see DL40 entries on FlightMemory but without tail numbers, unfortunately, which I could've used to confirm the routing.

@ChronicTraveller

2004-10-09 US0373 CLT SJO 1025 1230 ChronicTraveller N717US?

I just saw your FlightMemory entry, is this solved or just a guess?
Apologies for the delay, @fakepcy , I have been off travelling. Looking back at my notes on this one, I chose 717 based on layover times in CLT, so that part was a guess. I don't have gate info, unfortunately. From the timetables the flight did CLT-SJO-PHL; it didn't turn around and return to CLT. There were 3 routes that day that did this: CLT-SJO-PHL; CLT-AUA-PHL; CLT-SKB-PHL.

That aligns with 3 airplanes I narrowed down using BTS and ACARS data: N717, N713 (both A319s) and N108UW (A320). From BTS, the CLT-SJO-PHL that month was run by 319s--except one day, don't know which. SKB was 319s only; AUA was mostly 320s and one day a 319. It's a guess here that I didn't fly the one day of the month to SJO they ran the 320 (which would also have to align with the one day they ran a 319 on the AUA route). Thus I assumed the AUA flight had N108UW, leaving the other 2 potentials.

Looking at the info for their 319 off BTS and ACARS, both these planes fit the window for the SJO and SKB fligths. On the SJO turn, flight 373 departs CLT at 10.25, and returns to PHL at 20.49 same day. For SKB, US0293, it departs CLT at 10.45 and returns to PHL at 20.32. In terms of the planes, N713 arrived CLT at 9.28 (scheduled, 9.13 actual) and overnight in PHL, departing early on 10/10. N717 arrived CLT at 9.14 (scheduled, 9.05 actual) and departed PHL 10/10 early morning.

Getting to N717 was then just a pick between the two, assuming USAir would try to schedule consistent layover times. For N717, that was 71 minutes scheduled if it continued to SJO, or 91 minutes if it flew SKB. Alternatively, for hte SKB flight, if it used N713, the layover would only be 57 minutes, while if it flew SKB that would be 77 minutes. This one, to me, is really close to call, and really don't feel solid on this like a lot of other ones. I'd love to get some other info like gates to prove this more definitively.

2003-10-10 AA1743 MIA GCM 1905 1930 ChronicTraveller N908AN?

Fortunately, a lot of AA's international flights at MIA share the same flight number and aircraft as their domestic legs, if not there would be a "CHG" on the timetable. Unfortunately, yours didn't and this leads us to triangulating the possible tail numbers lol.
@fakepcy Ah, thank you! I had N905 and N908 as potential, but don't have the timetable for international flights in Oct 2003 so didn't know about AA0939 continuing to GUA. I had these as possibilities as well, but maybe you can eliminate based on your timetable to other intl destinations:

N919AN/N3AUAA
N930AN/N3BGAA
N936AN/N3BNAA
N938AN/N3BRAA
N965AN/N3CWAA
N968AN/N3DAAA
N943AN/N3BWAA

If you have already eliminated these, I'm feeling that N908AN is the right answer.

This is under the assumption that the same tail number flew both domestic and international legs, unless specified.

I already eliminated C-FKJZ and C-FTJZ which were potential candidates until I triangulated their flights.

Another proof because I noticed QK8154 YYC-YEG was also operated by a CRJ7 and could've been flown by C-GJAZ:

Also, if it did return to YEG as QK8154, then it should've appeared again on the YEG SBS logs. It didn't, and QK8151 was its last entry.

No other way for that aircraft to get from YYZ to YYC between those two flights, so this one is confirmed.
