Emirates faces flights delay pay-out after court ruling - Transport,UAE,Europe - ArabianBusiness.com
Hat nichts genutzt ..... AA lehnt jede Kompensation ab und geht gar nicht auf den Fakt ein dass ich 11h zu spät am Zielort war da der Anschlussflug in PHI verpasst wurde.
Anbei die Mail:
Thank you for writing back. I'm sorry to learn that you're still upset with us. That's certainly not how we want our customers to feel.
We have thoroughly reviewed the circumstances surrounding flight AA717 from Munich,
Germany scheduled on February 17, 2018 and our records confirm the delay occurred due to Air Traffic Control with an extended taxi-out of 136 minutes due to local weather issues, the delay was unavoidable.
As you have correctly identified, European Union Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 of the European Parliament and Council has established common rules on compensation and assistance to passengers in the event of cancellations or long delays of flights. Under this regulation, passengers are entitled to established levels of compensation, depending on the length of delay arriving at your final destination.
However, compensation associated with EC261/2004 does not apply when extraordinary circumstances, such as Air Traffic Control directives, prevent us from operating as planned. Therefore, there is not any mandated compensation warranted for flight AA717 on this occasion and we must, again, respectfully decline compensation and adjustments based on the EC 261/2004 regulation.
Mr. ......, while I know that you didn't have the best experience with us recently, I'd like to encourage you to give us another try. The next time you travel with us, I'm confident things will go much more smoothly.
