Kam eben per Mail rein:
We want to let you know that we will be making some changes to our Terms and Conditions. This email outlines the changes to our Terms & Conditions, and our upcoming plans for a more localised service for our customers across Europe, which includes the introduction of European account numbers (IBANs).
Updated Terms & Conditions
Our updated Terms and Conditions can be found*here*and will be effective from 30 September 2019. We’ve provided an overview of the most important changes for you below, so you can understand what is changing:
You will soon be able to make direct debit payments with your Monese EUR account!
Our licencing partner (the e-money issuer for your Monese account, Prepay Technologies Ltd “PPS UK”) has created a new regulated entity in Belgium called PPS EU SA. Your EUR account will be transferred to this entity. This ensures we can continue to provide you the same level of service, even after Brexit
If you also have a GBP account, this will continue to be issued by PPS UK and regulated by the FCA for the time being
We’ve made changes throughout to make the Terms and Conditions clearer and more streamlined
What does the move to an EU entity mean for me?
Don’t worry, there will be no change to how your Monese account and card operates, it will be exactly the same as it is currently. You can also carry on using your existing Monese card as normal which means there will be no disruption to the service. You will also continue to have the same rights and there will be no increase in the fees that you are currently paying.
Your account(s) will be regulated by the National Bank of Belgium and you will have a right of complaint to the Belgium authorities. PPS EU SA will safeguard your funds in EU bank accounts.
What are the benefits of a ‘more localised service’?
We’re excited about the move to an EU entity! This will allow us to introduce many more localised features and service for you, which will start with the introduction of EU account numbers (IBANs) in late September.
In late September, we will issue you with a new account number (IBAN) for your EUR account. Your current IBAN account number will continue to work. This means you will continue to receive money, transfers and payments to your current IBAN and your account. One of the benefits of your new IBAN is that you will be able to make direct debit payments with your EUR account.
Direct debits are an easy and convenient way to manage your payments and bills from your Monese account. With direct debit, you have the peace of mind that your bills are being paid automatically, so you never miss a payment.
We will be back in touch with more information soon regarding the introduction of new EU account numbers (IBANs).
When will these changes happen to my Terms & Conditions?
You do not have to do anything in order to agree to these new Terms and Conditions. If you continue to use your Monese account or card after 30 September 2019, these new Terms and Conditions will apply to you.
However, if you have any objections please contact us within two months of the date of this email.
