First the good news, if you are one of 22,000 people who have already applied for a Thailand Pass for Test & Go, Sandbox and Alternative Quarantine, your application is still being processed. If your application is approved, you will be able to come under the original conditions. This means, for Test & Go people, you only need to wait for the results for the first test and then you are free to go. No 7-day quarantine like some media outlets were saying. But you will need to do a second RT-PCR test on Day 7. More on that in a moment.
The bad news is that if your application is rejected after midnight, then you are out of luck. You will need to enter via the Phuket Sandbox or hotel quarantine schemes.
Secondly, the Thailand Pass system is still open for Test & Go applications. So, be quick as you could make it before the midnight deadline. After that time, they will no longer take applications for Test & Go and for Sandbox areas outside of Phuket.
One very important piece of information that the Thai media got wrong is the cut-off date for arriving in Thailand. Basically, there isn’t one. Earlier, the media were saying you must arrive before 10th January if you didn’t want to do quarantine. That is not true. You can arrive on the date that was approved on your application. For example, if you said you are arriving on 25th January, then you still can use Test & Go and only wait one night for the test results.
Many people were asking that if they arrived under Test & Go tomorrow, do they have to do the second RT-PCR test on Day 7. The quick answer to that is no. This is because it is not law yet. The prime minister must first sign the papers and then it must be published in the Royal Gazette. So, if it was published in the gazette on Friday, then anyone arriving on Friday onwards, must do the second test on Day 7. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this will be free. More details on this soon.
So, does this mean there is no Test & Go in the future? No, that is not true as it is just temporarily suspended. In early January, they will re-evaluate the situation and there will be a new announcement.

Komischerweise sind die Raten trotzdem alle stornierbar? Sollten diese nicht prepaid sein?
Erster Thailand Pass ist approved.
Entweder du machst es heute oder du lässt es.
Ich würde bei dem zeitlichen Vorlauf warten.
Meinen Flug habe ich vor knapp 9 Monaten für Mitte Januar 22 gebucht und es als Lottospiel betrachtet. Das ist auch heute noch so.
Glaube bei Ende Juni würde ich nichts machen. Sommer ist eh immer no covid ;D
Ende Juni? Darum würde ich mir gerade gar keine Gedanken machen. Da können wir in Welle 7 sein oder die Pandemie vorbei. Thailand kann alles sein von komplett offen bis komplett dicht.
Zweiter Thailand Pass ist auch da. Hat jeweils knapp zwei Stunden gedauert.

Ich habe Hotel ja für 2 Leute gebucht. Auf der Bestätigung steht nicht der Name von meiner Freundin drauf, sondern einfach nur "Danke für Buchung XXX" und Auflistung für 2 Personen TestGo. Den selben Screenshot hab ich bei Freundin auch angegeben...
Ach egal, man kann ja eh nur warten.

Bei meiner Test&Go-Buchung im Royal Orchid Sheraton hatte ich nach der Bezahlung zwei Bestätigungen bekommen, eine auf meinen Namen und eine auf den Namen von +1.
Du bist aber ohnehin auf die automatische ThailandPass-Genehmigung angewiesen und da achtet der Computer nicht auf solche Feinheiten. Geht nur "Computer says no" oder "Computer says yes". Und das wird maßgeblich durch die QR-Codes der Impfzertifikate entschieden.

Im Bestätigungsschreiben für den Thailand-Pass kannst du sie mit einsetzen lassen, das reicht aus.
Beachte aber, dass im Ernstfall die AMEX Platinum Reiseversicherung nicht zahlt, da eine Covid-bedingte Reisewarnung für Thailand vorliegt. Da solltet ihr beide noch einen Plan B haben.
Thailand ist laut RKI derzeit kein Hochrisikoland, deshalb besteht aktuell keine entsprechende Reisewarnung.

Habe jetzt noch in aller Eile aber mit der gebotenen Gründlichkeit beide Anträge für mich und +1 hochgeladen, automatisierte Bestätigung kam innerhalb von einer Minute (Eingangsbestätigung). Bin mal gespannt, ob es noch wie bei User thbe auch dazu kommt, dass noch relativ schnell ein approval kommt, sonst heißt es eben warten. Alle Bilder in jpeg, QR code wie hier sehr schön erläutert wurde, ausgeschnitten, dritte Impfung konnte ich übrigens auch angeben, mal zu Sicherheit mit hochgeladen. Jetzt heißt es Daumen drücken.
Nächstes Mal mache ich Urlaub im Vorarlberg, da soll es auch schön sein. Echt jetzt.
übrigens über Google chrome den berüchtigten api Fehler bekommen, nach Installation des add on ging es aber dann problemlos durch.
