We wanted to get in touch to explain why you may have recently received cancellation notifications about your upcoming bookings made with Lufthansa Group, or not been able to look up Lufthansa Group bookings using your Amadeus booking reference.
Unfortunately, Lufthansa Group has chosen to block all third parties from accessing their data, restricting Amadeus access to your bookings with Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian, Brussels, Eurowings, Edelweiss and SunExpress.
For the time being, this means that MyFlights can no longer retrieve your Lufthansa Group bookings and monitor these bookings for changes (if your booking was made through an Amadeus travel agent, MyFlights may still be able to access it). You can now only view these bookings via Lufthansa Group applications.
You can still add your Lufthansa Group bookings to your MyFlights account by linking it with your TripIt account, or by manually adding these bookings to MyFlights - however we are no longer able to monitor these bookings for changes.
If you have upgraded your account to MyFlights SILVER or MyFlights GOLD, we can confirm flight and connection monitoring for Lufthansa Group flights is unaffected. If you wish to cancel your subscription because monitoring for Lufthansa Group booking changes is no longer available, please drop us an email by 13 August 2017 and we'll issue you with a pro rata refund from the date we receive your email.
Despite these changes, we hope MyFlights continues to be an asset to your travel. We will soon be launching a new version of the MyFlights app, including the additional functionality now available on MyFlights on the web. Watch this space!
